Counsellor & Coach

I offer 40 years of experience & training, deep personal experiences & a sense of humour.

I approach my work with a deep respect for every story.

Life has been interesting so far! My own journey has included ups, downs & everything in between. Curiosity drives me … often to places I wouldn’t have dreamed of going!

There are many valuable things I’ve learned along the way. Perhaps the most important thing I’ve learned is that positive change is possible … anytime.

Taught & mentored by amazing people.

I thank them for providing me with skills in:

  • Transactional Analysis
  • Cognitive-behavioural Therapy
  • Interpersonal Neurobiology
  • Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Trauma Release
  • Affect Regulation Therapy
  • Vipassana Meditation
  • Horticulture Therapy

Much of my work is with people who are highly sensitive, curious, creative, quirky & ‘slightly unusual’.

Neurodiversity  (any diversity!) has always intrigued me. This is where my early background as a neuroscientist comes in handy.  I have particular interest & expertise in working with adults who learn, think and feel in ways that are somewhat out of the norm.

I use a psychodynamic approach, which means that  I take into account past & present, with the aim of working toward more awareness, new understanding, improved skills & a healthier future.  My work is strongly trauma-informed –  therefore very safe.

My aim is always to be friendly & to offer a comfortable & supportive therapeutic environment. A safe container – an honest and reliable relationship – is key.  As is a wacky sense of humor at times!

What we can achieve together

I am pleased to offer my experience and love of people to you. I have trained and worked for 40 years, across the fields of psychology, psychotherapy, counselling, neurorehabilitation and coaching/training.
